Founder and Principal Security Consultant of AppSecure Labs Limited, Vishal Garg – CISSP CISA and OWASP Development Guide project leader, brings more than a decade of high-level software development and application security experience. He specialises in conducting application security reviews, design and code reviews, and vulnerability research and analysis for web-based applications, cloud-based systems and COTS applications.

Prior to founding AppSecure Labs, Mr. Garg held senior positions in software development and worked as security specialist. In his 12-year career, he has offered expert security advice to several recognised Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies including international financial institutions, retailers and multinationals.

Vishal Garg earned his masters degree in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London. He is a professional member of The Chartered Institute of IT (BCS), a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Vishal has a very active participation in information security community and is a member of the OWASP London Chapter and ISSA London Chapter. He is the project leader for the new OWASP Development Guide, a BCS Mentor, BCS Sussex branch committee member and the publicity officer.
